Disney Dining Experience Card

The Disney Dining Experience Card is a discount card that
allows guests to get 20% off most table-service
restaurants (and resort counter-service restaurants) in
and around Disney World. This discount card was previously
available only to Florida residents, but is now available
to both Florida residents and Annual Passholders. The card
can be a money-saving tool for those that plan on eating
out while at Disney World. Savings and discounts can only
be realized when money is spent.
The cost of the card is $85,
but Annual Passholders receive a $25 discount which makes the
final cost only $60 (Note: Florida renewals are $70.00 if
purchased within 30 days of expiration). This is not a per-person card that
everyone must have. The card covers the holder and up to 10
people. If you are going with a family or group, this could
save some serious money on meals. Table-service restaurants,
character breakfasts, and other high-end establishments can
cost a small fortune. With the Disney Dining Experience Card,
guests can recoup 20% of the cost. An additional spouse
card can be purchased for $25.
(Thanks to Sam P. for the updated prices!)
This could be a great idea
for those that are staying at a Value Resort and that plan on
eating at the counter-service restaurants. The counter-service
restaurants at the Value Resorts are fairly economical for
families that want to eat out and with the card it can make it
even more economical. Instead of eating at the counter-service
restaurants in the parks, go back to the resort and eat there
before taking a nap.
The card is good year-round,
except on certain holidays. Meals on Easter, Mother’s Day, 4th
of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s
Eve, and New Year’s Day are excluded from the plan.
Benefits of the card include:
·
20% off on all food and drinks (including
alcoholic drinks) at over 70 resort hotel and park
restaurants.
·
Discount is valid for up to 10 people.
·
Free resort and theme park parking for dining
purposes. There is free short-term parking (around 3 hours)
for all card holders. Parking must be paid for in advance, but
after your meal you can take your receipt to Guest Services
and you will get a full refund.
·
You can get a second membership for someone in
your household. This can come in handy if you are in a big
group or if you plan to do separate things during your trip. A
great example could be if your spouse decides to go back to
the hotel to swim and eat at the resort’s food court. If you
have two cards, he/she can use one while you use the other.
·
You will receive a newsletter that will keep you
informed of any changes in benefits or participating
restaurants.
·
Other benefits include 50% admission to Pleasure
Island and other discounts to entertainment.
Currently, the
only way you can get the card is to call 407-566-5858. You
cannot buy the card online or at the parks. This is also not a
last-minute purchase. You must allow 2-3 weeks for your card
to arrive by mail.
